GLOSSARY of Terms

pioneer – dare to break the mold, try something new, conceptualize new possibilities, go ahead of the pack, pave the way; embracing re-formation and change to improve ministry/offerings in light of changing cultural/historical context

ministry – those things which credibly witness to and/or present the truth of who God is, what God is like, and what God intends for humanity and all of creation.

more effectively – higher percentage of success achieving desired outcomes

penetrate – crossing the threshold; having broken through the initial barrier of resistance and entering the foreign culture; adapting to the forms of culture to cultivate significant credibility without compromising the integrity of Christian faith

permeate -- to saturate that which has been penetrated; to infuse such that the very nature of the penetrated society is changed

North America – current target of USA and Canada; Mexico in the future

love of Jesus Christ – the defining characteristic of Christianity according to Jesus Christ; conspicuously NOT natural (hence not easy or normal) actions, attitudes, or messages which bear credible witness to Jesus Christ and the claims of Christian gospel as “good news;” the culture we call "Sanctuary."
